First Clumber Walk of the Year Next Sunday (19th March)

March 2017 Clumber Walk

The next Clumber walk is on 19th March at Hinchingbrooke Country Park Brampton Road, Huntingdon, and Cambs, PE29 6DB
The group will meet at the cafe at 10:30 returning after an hour or so for a chance of more refreshment before heading home.

If you have not taken part in a walk before please consider joining us. Clumber Walks offer a chance for Clumber owners to come together and allow their dogs to meet other Clumbers and enjoy running as a pack. The walks offer owners a chance to meet and swap stories, seek advice and just enjoy being with a group of people who appreciate the breed.

Clumber walks are not restricted to owners. Potential owners, friends of walkers (four and two legged) are welcome as are Clumber enthusiasts who do not have a dog at present.

Hinchingbrooke Country Park covers 170 acres of open grasslands, mature woodland and lakes. There is a mix of hard-surfaced and muddy paths, secluded woodlands and long grass. The cafe serves breakfasts all day on Sundays plus a variety of home-cooked food such as soup, filled rolls, jacket potatoes and toasties (until 3pm). Home-made cakes, biscuits, chocolate, ice creams and drinks are available all day. A leaflet and map can be downloaded at http://www.huntingdonshire.gov.uk/media/1428/hcp-leaflet.pdf

The car park is pay and display and costs £2 for up to six hours.

The walks are free to members of Clumber Spaniel Club with a charge of £1 for non-members. Membership of the Club only costs £12 and by joining, you will be helping in the Clubs efforts to provide information on, improve, the health status of the breed.

If you would like to take part, please email Barbara Weston at – breed-rep@clumberspanielclub.org.uk
