The Clumber Spaniel Club Judges Lists Criteria (Effective from 1st January 2015)

A1

For persons who have previously been approved by the Kennel Club to award C.C.s in the breed, have completed their first appointment and have the support of the Clumber Spaniel Club. (KC Policy)

A2

For persons who fulfil all the requirements for the A3 list, who have been assessed in accordance with Kennel Club requirements and accepted by the Kennel Club for inclusion on the A2 List and who have the support of the Clumber Spaniel Club. (KC Policy)

To have attended an Open Field Trial or an Open Gundog Test (GWT) for a Gundog Breed in the relevant sub-group. (KC Policy as of 1 July 2005)

A3 Breed Specialists

To have judged Clumber Spaniels for a minimum of 7 years and have the support of the Clumber Spaniel Club. (KC Policy)

To have judged the breed at eight Open Shows or General Championship Shows without C.Cs with an adequate geographical spread. (Club Policy)

To have judged a minimum of 50 dogs in this breed. (KC Policy)

To have attended at least one Breed Specific Seminar (CSC Part 2) run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable. (KC Policy as of 1 July 2001)

To have attended at least one Breed Specific Seminar (CSC Part 1) and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable. (Club Policy)

To have bred and/or owned a minimum of three dogs when they obtained their 1st entry in the Kennel Club Stud Book (save in exceptional circumstances). (KC Policy)

To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer, and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedures. (KC Policy as of 1 July 2001)

To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Conformation and Movement. (KC Policy as of 1 July 2001)

To have attended a Points of the Dog Assessment conducted by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the assessment. (KC Policy as of 1 July 2005)

To have stewarded over a minimum of 12 days at shows.(Open or Championship Shows only) (KC Policy)

To have attended an Open Field Trial or an Open Gundog Test (GWT) for a Gundog Breed in the relevant sub-group. (KC Policy as of 1 Jan 2011)

A3 Non Specialists

To have judged a minimum of 7 years including 5 years in this breed and have the support of the Clumber Spaniel Club. (KC Policy)

To have judged the breed at eight Open Shows or General Championship Shows without C.Cs with an adequate geographical spread. (Club Policy)

To have judged a minimum of 50 dogs in this breed. (KC Policy)

To have awarded C.C.s in at least one other breed. (KC Policy)

To have attended at least one Breed Specific Seminar (CSC Part 2) run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable. (Club Policy)

To have attended at least one Breed Specific Seminar (CSC Part 1) and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable. (Club Policy)

To have attended an Open Field Trial or an Open Gundog Test (GWT) for a Gundog Breed in the relevant sub-group. (KC Policy as of 1 Jan 2011)

B Specialist

To have 5 years experience owning and exhibiting this breed (must have bred or owned a minimum of two Clumber Spaniels) and have the support of the Clumber Spaniel Club. (Club Policy)

To have judged seven classes of this breed at Open Shows or General Championship Shows without C.Cs . (Club Policy)

To have judged 15 dogs of this breed. (Club Policy)

To have attended at least one Breed Specific Seminar (CSC Part 1) and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable. (Club Policy)

To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer, and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedures. (Club Policy)

To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Conformation and Movement. (Club Policy)

To have stewarded on 4 occasions. (Club Policy)

To agree to write show critiques as required by the Kennel Club. (Club Policy)

B Non Specialist

To have a minimum of 5 years judging experience in any one breed and have the support of the Clumber Spaniel Club. (Club Policy)

To have judged seven classes of this breed at Open Shows or General Championship Shows without C.Cs . (save in exceptional circumstances). (Club Policy)

To have judged 15 dogs of this breed. (Club Policy)

To have attended at least one Clumber breed specific seminar (CSC Part 1) and to have passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable. (Club Policy)

To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer, and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedures. (Club Policy)

To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Conformation and Movement. (Club Policy)

To have stewarded on 4 occasions . (Club Policy)

To agree to write show critiques as required by the Kennel Club. (Club Policy)

C Breed & Non Breed Specialists

For aspirant judges who have shown an interest in the breed and have the support of the Clumber Spaniel Club.
